Late May, 2009: I spoke with Tim Eagan, owner of Eagan's Drive-In and Espresso in Tumwater on Capitol Blvd. (just south of Les Schwab). Tim has graciously given the club permission to assemble on his lot / restaurant for the purpose of meetings or to "hang out". This is commonly referred to as a "Cruise-In".

June, 2009: Carolyn created a MySpace.com page for Mopars of Olympia Car Club website. Good job Carolyn! Thank you. The MySpace.com page is linked from Mopars of Olympia website's main page.

July 7, 2009 Club meeting:

Nice show of good looking Mopars. More members have signed up...the Club is growing!

Kristin put together a very nice looking Advertisement Flyer for our Club. We will use it to advertise Mopars of Olympia at activities, events and car shows. Thank you Kristin!

We decided that our weekly Cruise-In will be at Norma's Burgers, 7210 Martin Way E., Olympia. Friday evenings from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Several members have decided to attend the upcoming 24th Annual Sunbust Show & Shine at Frontier Park, Graham, WA. August 23, 2009. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Click Here for the downloadable flyer. Note: Club members assemble at Eagan's (Tumwater) at 7:30 a.m. for our cruise to Sunbust.

Website updates (7/6/09): Added Members Cars photos page, Classifieds page, and Membership Application form on the Join Us page. (This form is a simple and quick fill in the spaces form which is submitted electronically from the site). The Activities page was updated with upcoming car show information.

Website updates (7/26/09): Renamed the "Join Us" page to "Membership". Added a "Maps" page showing Google Earth maps for Eagan's Drive-In & Espresso and Norma's Burgers.

July 31, 2009: Purchased domain name, "www.mopars-olympia.com" for our Club website!

August 1, 2009: Changed Club membership minimum requirement from "interest" in Mopars to ownership of a Mopar vehicle ("running" car preferred but not required).

Website updates (8/24/09): Created a new link - "Car Shows". Changed the "Activities" link to "Activities/Events" and listed the Cruise-In information there.

August 23, 2009: Sunbust 2009 was awesome! Approximately 300 Mopars in 40 judging categories were displayed! Andrew & Carolyn won 3rd Place award for their 1965 Plymouth Fury Sport convertible. Congratulations! Gary won 1st Place award for his 1970 AMC. Congratulations!

Kristin & Carolyn placed our Mopars of Olympia Car Club flyers in MANY cars present at the Sunbust 2009 car show. Thanks to Kristin & Carolyn - great work!

Website updates (8/25/09): Added a "Forum" - link on main page, left menu.

Website updates (9/17/09): New look for the website. Added a new menu to the left side, main page. Edited the "About Us" page to include some Club history, accomplishments and thank you's.

Website updates (10/2/09): Created and added a photo collage to the main page.

The last Club meeting for the 2009 season will be October 13, 2009, 6:30 p.m., Tumwater Eagans.

October 13, 2009 Club meeting:

Discussion about the Cruise-In location and making a change. A decision was reached to change the location to the Capital Christian Center, 4431 Martin Way (old Lacey cinemas). Matt said that many or most of the other Cruise-In attendees were not pleased with the dirt, dust and small parking lot at Norma's Burgers.

Discussion about conducting rotating locations for our monthly meetings. All agreed that sounds good. This will be discussed later, prior to the 2010 season.
